Hammer Boy did you even download MP3 Rocket? It is a free version is does not have a 30 day trial. I have been using MP3 Rocket for two years it is fantastic. Clearly the best music download software I have used. Now that they allow users to "vote" on their "most popular" files you can see the most popular share files for every genre. This is unique, better them Limewire or any other P2P program. So hammer boy. As least download and try the software before you write a review.

Mp3Rocket has everything! It's outrageous (that's beyond "awesome"!!) I've seen (heard and downloaded) music, commercials, TV themes --- everything ranging from a recording made in 1917 of a song my grandmother (who lived 1900-1964) played on the piano, an audiobook I owned when I was in first grade (50 years ago!) and songs in foreign languages that are part of my "personal musical history" --- all the way to songs from current children's TV shows my grandson watches and The Blackeyed Peas songs my daughter likes! Mp3 Rocket has helped me create a musical heirloom for my grandson and retrieve songs we haven't heard since the 78 RPM player busted, in 1955, which more than thrilled my 82-year-old mother, who's almost entirely bedridden. now. I love you, mp3 Rocket --- and I'll tell anyone who wants to know!! Sincerely, Helene in Nevada

MP3 Rocket runs along the same lines as Limewire. However I feel that the methods of download and the userfriendliness of the site in fact move them ahead of their competitors.
LimeWire is open source, so the fact that they took their code and are redistributing it under a different name does not make it illegal or unethical. I've worked on a few open-source projects in the past, and understand that others will (actually I encourage it) take the code and add their own features to it.With the current legal battle LimeWire is facing, I actually commend MP3 Rocket for taking continued risks to offer alternatives to the public, all the while supporting the open-source community.MP3 Rocket may not be a completely innovative product, but it works well (spyware- and adware-free, I might add) and is free.

Other features include the ability to browse the most popular downloads, publish a personal rating of your favorites, preview files while downloading, an intuitive user interface, and enhanced parental controls through the use of built-in keyword filters.MP3 Rocket offers the sharing of its library through Digital Audio Access Protocol. As such, when MP3 Rocket is running and configured to allow it, any files shared will be detectable on the local network by DAAP-enabled devices (e.g. iTunes).
